HOWLAND – Randy Rackley scored two goals and Ashley Dawson added a goal and an assist as to lead the Penobscot Valley Howlers to a 5-0 schoolgirl soccer win over the Deer Isle-Stonington Mariners Saturday.
Kacy Foster and Lyndsay Drost also scored for the 6-1 Howlers, while goalies Jenn Plourde and Chelsea Rancourt combined to make one save on four shots.
Regyn Lawry made 18 saves on 36 shots for Deer Isle-Stonington.

Bangor Christian 5, Katahdin 1
At Bangor, Amber Leathers scored two goals and had one assist to lead Bangor Christian.
Adrienne Ricci scored two goals for the 4-2-2 Patriots and Christin Pelletier added a goal and an assist. Johannah Kutz stopped eight of 11 shots.
Kayla Stevens scored a second-half goal for 1-7 Katahdin of Stacyville. Clarissa Gallagher made 18 saves on 28 shots.

At Lee, Marci Moors headed in two goals off corner kicks to carry undefeated Lee to its seventh win.
Aarika Ritchie and Shelby Pickering each added a goal and an assist for the Pandas and Amanda Gifford and Kimmy Thurlow recorded a goal apiece. Marci Moors also had an assist. Jackie Moors and Brooke Harris combined for four saves on four shots.
For 3-4-1 Schenck of East Millinocket, Robin Larlee made 17 saves on 37 shots.

At Old Town, Katie Bergeron scored a pair of second-half goals for the Indians.
Amy McFalls saved six of 10 shots for 5-2 Old Town.

At Eastport, the Sabers and the Tigerettes battled through two overtimes, ending in a 3-3 deadlock.
Monique Veilleux netted all three goals for 3-2-1 Calvary Chapel of Orrington and Brittany Lowe added an assist. Jessica Graves faced 26 shots and saved 22.
Patricia Cummings had a goal and an assist for Shead. Skylar Richardson and Laureta Ricker had a goal apiece and Celia Cummings had two assists. Brittany Cox made 25 saves on 29 shots for the 1-3-1 Tigerettes.
Orono 1, Bucksport 1 (2OT)
At Orono, Katie Allen of Bucksport and Emily Balaban of Orono swapped goals in a match that ended in stalemate after two overtimes.
Amanda Morrison made six saves on 12 shots for the 1-4-2 Red Riots. Jennifer Muracks saved three of 11 shots for the 5-1-1 Golden Bucks.

At Brewer on Saturday, Marci Schofield had a goal and an assist as the Crusaders from Bangor earned the win.
Ashley Freeman also scored for John Bapst, while Meredith Atkinson saved the only shot she faced.

At East Sullivan, Curtis Alley scored on a Chris Cowperthwaite assist to rally host Sumner to the tie.
