Two Bangor residents were summoned Friday after Brewer police found several ounces of marijuana inside their vehicle.

Mark Bridge, 19, and a 17-year-old boy were questioned after the vehicle they were traveling in was stopped for illegally attached license plates at approximately 4 p.m. on North Main Street. Bridge told police he had marijuana, which later was determined to be six one-eighth-ounce bags, according to reports.

The juvenile consented to a search of his person, which turned up a glass pipe with marijuana inside the bowl, according to reports.

In a search of the vehicle, police found a tin containing marijuana roaches and rolling paper, a box containing two 1-ounce bags of marijuana, and another bag containing one-quarter ounce of marijuana, according to reports.

Bridge and the juvenile were charged with unlawful furnishing of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

After stopping the driver of a car that had a loud exhaust early Sunday morning, a Veazie police officer discovered that the driver was operating without a license.

Sgt. Keith Emery arrested Christopher Braslett, 25, of Hudson for not having a valid driver’s license. During the course of the arrest, Emery also found Braslett to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

The Hudson resident was taken to Penobscot County Jail where he made bail. Braslett is scheduled to appear at Penobscot County District Court on Friday, Oct. 22.

Officers on their way back to Veazie after helping Orono police with a call early Sunday morning saw a car pulled off on the side of the interstate and stopped to see what was going on.

They discovered that the passengers in the vehicle were highly intoxicated and that the driver had stopped because one of them was “throwing up,” according to Veazie Police Chief Mark Leonard.

Police saw Jared Anacetti, 19, of Oakland sitting in the passenger seat with the door open while he vomited on the ground outside.

Another passenger, Anthony Kadnar, 20, of Oakland also was intoxicated, and the two admitted to police that a bottle of Bacardi 151 rum in the vehicle was theirs.

The two were summoned for illegal possession of liquor by a minor. A court date has not been set.
