BRUNSWICK – Five different players scored as Bowdoin shut out the University of New England 5-0 in men’s soccer action Monday.

Danny Sullivan, Ethan Roth, Nick Figueiredo, and Wolf Grueber scored in the first half for the 5-1 Polar Bears, and John Hollis scored in the second. Greg Levin made one save.

Rich Nielsen had nine saves for the 0-6-1 Nor’Easters of Biddeford.

Women’s soccer

USM 2, Framingham State 1

At Framingham, Mass., Julia Cyr scored the game-winning goal and assisted on a goal by Liz Brunton as the Huskies rallied to win.

Kelsey Shamano assisted on Cyr’s goal for 4-3-1 USM. Marcy Ansley had eight saves on 15 shots.

Sarah Mooney scored unassisted for 1-7 Framingham. Christina Sullivan and Amy Bergstrom blocked 11 of 16 shots.
