PRESQUE ISLE – In celebration of World Breastfeeding Week, all mothers and children are invited to meet at a “Mother’s Tea” from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 1 at A.R. Gould Memorial Hospital.

“Whether breast-feeding has worked or not for you, if you plan to breast-feed or you just want to support women who breast-feed, we welcome you to attend,” said Kate Harris, a senior manager at The Aroostook Medical Center.

Participants can meet local breast-feeding coalition members and learn more about breast-feeding support groups. The event is co-sponsored by the Region Five Breastfeeding Coalition and The Aroostook Medical Center.
