Bangor man summoned for alleged threatening

A Bangor man who allegedly threatened his neighbors with a knife was summoned Wednesday and ordered not to return to his apartment.

Bangor police responded at 8:35 p.m. to 187 Essex St. for an assault complaint and spoke with neighbors who said Paul Henderson, no age available, had threatened them. They said two men had come to the apartment building earlier that night yelling and asking for Henderson, according to reports.

Three residents cracked open Henderson’s door to tell him he had guests and found Henderson sitting on his couch, according to reports. Henderson allegedly pulled out a knife from under a blanket and made jabbing motions with it as he told the three to leave.

Henderson’s roommate later told police that Henderson had been carrying a kitchen knife with him everywhere he went and said Henderson nicknamed one of the knives “Paul Jr.,” according to reports. The roommate said Henderson would look at himself in the mirror and say he saw the character Michael Myers from the “Halloween” horror movies.

Henderson was summoned later that night for criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon and was served a criminal trespass warning for 187 Essex St., according to reports.

A Brewer food stand has been the target of one successful and one attempted burglary in recent weeks.

Insulation on a window at the Taco Stand on South Main Street, now closed for the season, was found tampered with Thursday afternoon, according to police. The stand was broken into three weeks ago, when an interior door was found kicked in.

In that incident, an alarm apparently scared off the would-be thieves, according to police. Nothing has been taken from the stand and no suspects have been identified.

A Bangor woman who allegedly attempted to steal manicure supplies and a mustache trimmer from a pharmacy was summoned Wednesday.

A clerk at Rite Aid on Broadway in Bangor told police that Callie Brown, 23, set off a store alarm as she left at 6:15 p.m., according to reports. Brown unloaded some items into her car before being ordered back into the store.

Police found 12 emery boards, a manicure set, a mustache trimmer, one box of Simply White Strips teeth whitener, and other items totaling $45.53 in Brown’s possession, according to reports. She was summoned for theft.
