The University of Maine System trustees have some nerve asking for an additional $29 million for the state after they voted unanimously recently to send half of the students to that state’s fledgling Community College System starting in July 2005.

Not only should the UMaine System not get additional money but the state should be cutting the planned allocation in direct proportion to the number of students being denied services by the University of Maine System.
