FORT FAIRFIELD – Whitney Flint’s first-half goal proved enough as Ashley Nemer registered another shutout and Ashland defeated Fort Fairfield 2-0 in schoolgirl soccer action Tuesday.
Nemer had 16 saves on 19 shots, and Kasie Boyd scored a second-half goal for the 11-1 Hornets.
Kellie Osgood made 15 saves on 17 shots for the 7-5-1 Tigers.
Limestone 5, Van Buren 2
At Limestone, Logan Cousins scored two goals to lift Limestone/Maine School of Science and Mathematics over Van Buren.
Ellie Dunn, Lindsey Bealieu, and Brittney King each scored a goal for the 6-3-1 Owls, and Melanie Allen stopped 10 of 12 shots.
Meagan Lajoie and Kari Ouellette both had a goal for 5-5-1 Van Buren. Lisa Levasseur made nine saves on 16 shots.
Nokomis 1, Brewer 0
At Brewer, Kelly Paradis’ unassisted goal lifted Nokomis of Newport to its first win.
Rozalyn Peterson earned the shutout, making 13 saves on 20 shots for the 1-10 Warriors.
Carolyn Tuck and Anna Bean combined for nine saves on 11 shots for 2-8-1 Brewer.
Hermon 1, Ellsworth 1 (2OT)
At Hermon, the host Hawks’ Cassie White scored the game-tying goal with 17:28 left in the second half on a penalty kick.
Jessie Ford made four saves on six shots for 4-3-4 Hermon.
Emily Miller scored with 1:31 left in the first half for 3-5-3 Ellsworth, and Catie Cravens stopped six of eight shots.

Houlton 2, Madawaska 1
At Houlton, Sam Tweedie scored 18 minutes into the second half on an assist from Ryan Brewer to give the Shiretowners the victory.
Brewer scored for Houlton two minutes into the match on an assist from Theron Larkins.
Madawaska tied the game seven minutes later when Mike Arnold scored on a Myles Morneault assist.
Eben Thompson made seven saves on eight shots for 5-5-1 Houlton. Paul Michaud made 12 saves on 14 shots for the 5-5-2 Owls.
Ashland 3, Fort Fairfield 2 (2OT)
At Fort Fairfield, Isaac Ward scored with 33 seconds remaining in the second overtime as the Hornets pulled out the win.
Josh Chamberland and Sam Cobb, with an assist from Ward, recorded the first two goals for 3-7-2 Ashland, and Kevin Baker made nine saves on 21 shots.
Jesse Sayers tallied twice for the 4-8 Tigers, and Billy Scull made 20 saves on 23 shots.
Van Buren 6, Limestone 1
At Limestone, Andy Martin scored five goals to power Van Buren to the victory.
Ben Doucette added a goal for the 9-2 Crusaders, and Andrew Taylor made five saves on six shots.
Joe Leighton scored the goal for 3-7-1 Limestone/Maine School of Science and Mathematics, and Addison Rossignol stopped 26 of 36 shots.

At Danforth, Tom Bird scored two goals to push Lee Academy to the victory.
Doob Dow, Jake Kang, Peter Pickering, Yun Jung, Drew Pickering, and Gerry Worster each scored a goal for the 9-1 Pandas. Rick Kim added two assists, and Chris King stopped all nine shots.
Zach Faulkner and Ricky Parks combined to make 29 saves on 38 shots for 1-8 East Grand.

At Newport, Shunsuke Sasaki scored two of his three goals in the second half to help break a 1-1 halftime tie in favor of the Witches.
Marc Relford, Andrew Richardson, and Jimmy Nicknair also scored for the 4-7 Witches, and Ben Davis made nine saves on 12 shots.
Matt Thornton scored both goals for the 1-10 Warriors, and Wayne May made 16 saves on 24 shots.

At the BMHI field in Bangor, Brian Roach of John Bapst and Willy Romano of Mount Desert Island swapped first-half goals.
Sam Heathcote assisted on Roach’s goal, and Rich Hilliard assisted on Romano’s goal.
Chris Smith made seven saves on nine shots for 3-5-2 John Bapst of Bangor. Max Blanford made nine saves on 10 shots for 3-5-2 MDI.

At Guilford, Danny Kane’s goal with about 41/2 minutes remaining in regulation pulled Central into the tie.
Ben Webb scored twice for the PCHS Pirates, 5-5-1, and Mike Wharff scored the third goal. Ryan Martell made 16 saves on 21 shots.
Scott Kelley scored the first two goals for the 6-4-2 Red Devils, and Charles Haney had 16 saves on 25 shots.

At Deer Isle, Eric Sobey and Josh Griffin each scored two goals to pace Bangor Christian.
Josh Frost had an assist for the 7-2-1 Patriots, and Aaron Wilson stopped all 10 shots.

At Howland, Ryan Ware scored the game-winning goal off a Chris Vainio assist with 17:47 left to push Penobscot Valley to the victory.
Matt Osborn tied the game with 22:36 left in the second half for 5-6-1 Penobscot Valley, and Josh Ireland made nine saves on 12 shots.
Nathan Allen scored with 11:32 left in the first half for 4-7 Penquis of Milo. Drew Hamlin stopped 17 of 29 shots.
Calvary Chapel 10, Highview 1
At Charleston, Rosaire Veilleux had two goals and an assist to lead Calvary Chapel of Orrington to victory.
Brandon Scoville and Bryan Miller also scored two goals each for the Sabers, while Brock Bradford had a goal and two assists. Brandon Deans and Mike King each chipped in with a goal and an assist, while Caleb Carmichael added a goal and Jeremy Booker and Beau Miller each contributed an assist.
Andrew Richard scored for 1-7-1 Highview Christian.
Carmichael and Deans combined to make five saves on six shots for 4-1 Calvary Chapel. Stefan Rowe made seven saves on 19 shots for Highview Christian.
