BANGOR – KaroleAnne Emery scored an unassisted goal in the first half to help the Husson field hockey team to a 2-1 victory over Bates Wednesday in college action.

Janel Fearon scored on a Erin Brown assist at 60:38 for the 3-7 Eagles. Kelly Bocchino made 17 saves on 18 shots.

Brooke Anable scored on a corner kick from Allison Marshall at 68:27 for the 3-5 Bobcats. Sarah Judice stopped one of three shots.

Women’s soccer

Bowdoin 3, Southern Maine 0

At Gorham, three different players scored goals as the Polar Bears blanked the Huskies.

Danielle Chagnon, Ann Zeigler and Claire Cutting each had a goal for 5-3-1 Bowdoin of Brunswick. Anna Shapell and Katherine Popoff faced five shots and Shapell made a save.

Marcy Ansley made one save on 10 shots for 4-4-3 USM.

UM-Farmington 2, Lyndon St. 0

At Lyndonville, Vt., Erin Campbell scored a goal in each half to help the University of Maine-Farmington to the win.

Jodie Welch and Kelsey Burk each had an assist for 4-4-2 UM-Farmington. Melissa Demerchant had one save.

Lindsay Maguire made four saves for 5-2-4 Lyndon State.

Men’s soccer

Maine Maritime 3, Unity 0

At Castine, Josh Heath and Rick Hathaway combined to make seven saves on 17 shots as the Mariners blanked the Rams.

Chad McDuffie had a goal and an assist for 2-6-2 Maine Maritime. Garrett Hutchins and Patrick McQuigan added a goal apiece. Ben Tourangeau and Justin Nichols each had an assist.

Tyler Ferguson made eight saves on 20 shots for 7-4 Unity.

Bowdoin 10, St. Joseph’s 0

At Brunswick, Andrew Russo and Tom Bresnehan each scored three goals to help lead Bowdoin to the win.

Nick Figueiredo added two goals for 7-2 Bowdoin and Brendan Fisher had a goal and an assist. Bobby Desilets had a goal as Simon Parsons, Ethan Ross, and Danny Sullivan each had two assists. Lucas Bare and Greg Levin combined to make two saves on three shots.

Brian White stopped 17 of 35 shots for 3-6-1 St. Joseph’s.
