Free screenings for women offered

BANGOR – The Penquis Community Action Program Penobscot Breast and Cervical Coalition is sponsoring four free women’s health screening days in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Women between the ages of 40 and 64 who have limited or no insurance coverage and meet certain income guidelines will qualify for the free program.

The screening will include a mammogram, clinical breast exam and a pelvic exam. Space is limited and preregistration is required. For more information, call 1-800350-5180.

. Tuesday, Oct. 12, 8 a.m.-3 p.m. – Millinocket Regional Hospital, White Birch Medical and Penquis CAP Health Services in Millinocket.

. Thursday, Oct. 28, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. – Penobscot Valley Hospital, Coldstream Health and Penquis Cap Health Services in Lincoln.

. Wednesday, Nov. 3, 1-4 p.m. – St. Joseph’s Breast Care Center, Penquis CAP Health Services Bangor, Mabel Wadsworth Women’s Health Clinic and Penobscot Community Health Center.

. Thursday, Dec. 9, 10:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. – Mayo Regional Hospital and Penquis CAP Health Services in Dover and Dexter.
