ROCKLAND – Britt Reed scored off a pass to the post from Skye Ellis with 19:57 left to give the Belfast Lions a 1-0 win over Rockland in a battle of field hockey unbeatens Thursday afternoon.

Britt Cummings crossed the ball to Ellis to set up the winning score. Sophomore Liz Anderson notched her 12th shutout of the season with four saves on four shots for 12-0 Belfast.

Brittany Kenniston made seven saves on eight shots for the 11-1 Tigers.

Camden Hills 3, Maranacook 2

At Rockport, Gwen Maddox scored the winning goal with 1:17 left in a neck-and-neck game against Maranacook of Readfield.

Maddox was assisted by Lindsey Clement, who scored the first goal. Jodi Newcombe scored the second goal off a Brydon Mitchell assist.

Kim Anderson scored for 6-4-1 Maranacook, assisted Jamie Michaud.

Rikki Welch faced 13 shots for Maranacook, saving nine. Georgia Smith made eight saves on 10 shots for the Windjammers.

Winslow 1, Mount View 0

At Winslow, Laura Nivison scored off a pass from Kristina Quirion in the first half to give the Black Raiders the win.

Jen Bragg stopped all eight shots she faced for 7-6 Winslow while Carrie Beverage blocked nine of 10 shots for the 4-7-1 Mustangs of Thorndike.

Boys soccer

Presque Isle 5, Foxcroft 2

At Dover-Foxcroft, Nate Carter and Chris Carlin each scored two goals to lead the Presque Isle Wildcats past Foxcroft Academy.

Carlin also had an assist and Greg Whitaker scored one goal for the 9-2 Wildcats. Brad Baker made seven saves on 10 shots.

Don Shin scored two goals and Victor Planella assisted on one for the 6-4-1 Ponies. James Tirrell saved 12 of 18 shots.

Calvary Chapel 9, East Grand 0

At Bangor, Andrew Lowe had three goals and one assist while Rosaire Veilleux added two goals and two assists to pace the Calvary Chapel Sabers past East Grand of Danforth.

Brock Bradford had a goal and three assists and Andrew Pennisi added a goal and an assist for the 5-1 Sabers. John Burke and Jeremy Booker each scored one goal. Caleb Carmichael saved seven of 10 shots.

Michael Hanington made 10 saves on 27 shots for the 1-9 Vikings.

Shead 4, Jonesport-Beals 1

At Jonesport-Beals, four different players scored a goal to lead Shead of Eastport to the win.

Dana Bowen of Shead was the first to score on an assist by Branden LaPlante. Chris Stanhope and Aaron Sullivan followed with a goal apiece and Mike Cummings scored off an assist from Perry Newell.

Travis Weisberger scored in the second half for Jonesport-Beals off an assist from Jonathan Alley

Dean Faulkingham, goalie for the 1-10 Royals, made 10 saves on 18 shots. Craig Hasting stopped eight out of 16 shots for the 7-5 Tigers.

Calais 5, Narraguagus 0

At Calais, Corey Johnson scored two goals to help the Blue Devils improve to 7-6.

Shawn McLean, Scott Geal and John Deacon each added a goal for the winners.

Kyle Tenan made 16 saves on 39 shots for 1-9-1 Narraguagus of Harrington.

Girls soccer

Presque Isle 13,Foxcroft 0

At Dover-Foxcroft, Katie Delong scored five goals and Sarah Gonsiorski tallied four to help the Wildcats improve to 12-0.

Kylan Smith added a goal and three assists while Emily Robertson and Rachel Blackstone each recorded a goal and an assist. Erica Egler added a goal and Delong notched two assists.

Brittany Fadley of 5-5 Foxcroft made 27 saves on 40 shots.

Brianna Young and Molly Hamel shared the Presque Isle goal with four saves on five shots.

Calvary Chapel 7, East Grand 2

At Brewer, Monique Veilleux racked up four goals and Brittany Lowe two as the Sabers rolled past the Danforth-based Vikings.

Chauntel Veilleux added a goal for Calvary Chapel of Orrington. Jessica Graves had 13 saves on 15 shots.

Sarah Roeter and Allie MacKay notched a goal each for East Grand. Paula Osnoe stopped 18 out of 25 shots.

Ellsworth 1, MDI 1 (2OT)

At Ellsworth, Emily Miller scored unassisted for the Eagles and Kaitlyn Vaux for the Trojans as the teams played to a stalemate.

Catie Cravens had nine saves on 13 shots for the 3-5-4 hosts while Asia Ross stopped 12 out of 18 for 0-6-6 MDI.

JV: MDI 2-0

George Stevens 3, Sumner 0

At Blue Hill, Sadie Beardsworth scored on a direct kick and assisted on Winslow Brokaw’s goal for 5-4-3 GSA.

Robin Rioux scored the final goal on an assist from Brandi Winters. Christy Moon and Kayla Eaton shared the GSA goal.

Sumner’s goal was guarded by Whitney Page, who saved 24 of 38 shots for the 1-11 Tigers.

Lee Academy 11, Woodland 0

At Woodland, Aarika Ritchie scored three goals as the Pandas improved to 11-0.

Shelby Pickering and Marci Moors each added two goals for the winners. Erica Hanscom, Amanda Gifford, Dana Houghton and Jodi Worcester each added a goal. Jacki Moors made four saves on four shots.

Cynthia Bergin stopped 15 of 26 shots for 5-7 Woodland.

Old Town 4, Brewer 0

At Old Town, Katie Bergeron and Jen Higgins each had two goals as the Indians prevailed.

Meghan McKay notched two assists while Jennie Jones and Lindsay Randall each had one for 7-3-1 Old Town. Amy McFalls stopped all six shots.

Carolyn Tuck had 16 saves on 20 shots for 2-7-1 Brewer.

John Bapst 3, Orono 0

At Orono, three unassisted goals by John Bapst led to a victory for the Crusaders.

Taylor Greenlaw, Kourtney Lipkin and Elaine Colwell each scored. Caroline Cassling made eight saves on 10 shots.

Amanda Morrison of 1-7-3 Orono faced 11 shots and made 7 saves.

JV: John Bapst 3-0

Piscataquis 4, Bangor Christian 2

At Guilford, Jessie Crouse scored unassisted goals 48 seconds apart amidst a three-goal outburst during a 90-second span of the second half that sparked the Pirates to victory.

Whitney Sinclair scored the go-ahead goal to start the flurry and assisted Christine Davis’ first-half tally for 7-3-1 Piscataquis. Jill Martell made 12 saves on 14 shots.

Adrienne Ricci and Christin Pelletier scored a goal each for 4-5-2 Bangor Christian. Johannah Kutz made 18 saves on 24 shots.
