MACHIAS – The University of Maine-Machias Clippers blanked the College of St. Joseph (Vt.) 6-0 on Saturday and edged Lyndon State College 2-1 on Sunday.
On Saturday, Mike Zeibler had two goals and an assist for 8-3-1 UM-Machias while Galen White had a goal and two assists. Justin Procter, Evan Timusk and Zach Andrews each added goals. Andy Swift and Jack Brunino had four saves on five shots.
Tom LaPlante stopped 12 out of 24 shots for the 6-5-1 visitors.
On Sunday, Zeibler scored off a pass from Timusk to lift the Clippers to the win.
Proctor scored unassisted for UMM. Swift had eight saves on 12 shots.
Adam Bartman had a tally for 6-6 Lyndon State. Nick Rowe stopped 12 out of 21 shots.
Husson splits games
At Bangor, Husson edged Mount Ida College 5-4 Sunday after losing a 3-2 decision in double overtime to Lasell College.
On Sunday, Shane Coffin and Chris Cacela each netted two goals as the Eagles edged Mount Ida.
Michael McCarron added a goal for 5-5 Husson. Matt Goodman had 17 saves on 27 shots.
Adam Maciaszcyek, Arly Noel, Daniel Smith and Sehon Alfred each scored unassisted for 8-4 Mount Ida. Dan Boreham stopped three out of 15 shots.
On Saturday, Mike Dewire scored 1:41 into the second overtime to give Lasell College the win Saturday.
Mike Dewire and Brian Whalen added unassisted goals for 3-6 Lasell. Nathan Weizer stopped four out of seven shots.
Mike Hofman and Kyle James scored off passes from McCarron for the 4-5 Eagles. Matt Goodman blocked 13 out of 16 shots.
Albany 1, Maine 0
At Orono, Stephan Hall’s goal off an assist from Lucas Machado 22 minutes and 34 seconds into the game proved to be the only score of the game as the Great Danes blanked the Black Bears Saturday.
Bouna Coundoul saved two of Maine’s 12 shots for the 6-2-2 Danes.
Chad Mongeon made five saves on 10 shots for the 3-3-3 Black Bears.
Mount Ida 3, Maine Maritime 1
At Castine Saturday, Dan Smith, Matt Goody and Joseph Aitah each scored for Mount Ida in the win.
Jose Andrade had an assist for the 8-3 winners. Kevin Greene made one save on seven shots.
Justin Nichols scored for the 2-7-2 Mariners. Josh Heath had seven saves on 23 shots.
St. Joseph’s 3, UMPI 0
At Standish Saturday, Kyler Hengst had a goal plus an assist while Michael Erickson had two goals as the Monks prevailed.
Brian White (five saves, nine shots) got the shutout for the hosts while Mike Latchford had five saves on seven shots for the Owls.
Wesleyan 3, Colby 2
At Waterville Saturday, Brandon Smith (two goals, one assist) scored three minutes into overtime to lift Wesleyan to victory.
Evan Berding scored 4-4 Wesleyan’s other goal. Dan Penrod had three saves on six shots.
Bobby Abendroth and Monty Hankin scored off assists from Brian Kelly and James Pilgrim for the 3-3-2 White Mules. Brian Davidson stopped six out of 11 shots.
Williams 2, Colby 0
At Waterville Sunday, Schuyler Riggs’ two first-half goals were all Nick Armington (six saves, eight shots) needed to post a shutout for Williams, who improves to 7-2-1.
Brian Davidson had eight saves on 17 shots for the 3-4-2 White Mules.

At Gorham Saturday, Adam Bial notched a pair of goals as the Huskies upped their mark to 6-2-3.
Zach Ansley added a goal for USM. Chris Willard posted one save on eight shots.
Rich DaSilva stopped two out of 14 shots for the 4-5-1 Beacons.
Lasell 1, MMA 0 (OT)
At Castine, Sunday, Matt Denham scored off a Russell Brewer assist with 55 seconds left in the first overtime to break the 0-0 tie for Lasell.
Greg Lillibrige made three saves on five shots for 5-6 Lasell.
Josh Heath saved 12 of 36 shots for 2-8-2 Maine Maritime Academy.
Women’s soccer
MMA wins two
At Castine, the Maine Maritime women’s soccer team won twice this weekend, 2-1 over Mount Ida in double overtime Saturday and 1-0 over Lasell Sunday.
On Saturday, Kristin Gabor scored in the second overtime to give the Mariners the victory. MMA is 7-4-1 after the two wins.
Ashley Brooker also scored for the winners while Meghan Marshall had four saves on nine shots.
On Sunday, Jessie Taylor scored goal off an Amy Asselin assist as the Mariners blanked Lasell.
Marshall had five saves on nine shots for MMA while Amanda Thurston and Andrea Stavin had 10 saves on 16 shots.
Clippers win two
At Machias, UMaine-Machias improved to 7-4 with wins over the College of St. Joseph (10-0, Saturday) and Lyndon State (1-0, Sunday).
On Sunday, Christina Rich scored in the second half with 23 minutes left off a Jesse Kueter pass for UMM.
Angela Qualey had nine saves on 13 shots for the winners while Lindsay Maguire recorded seven saves against 17 shots for Lyndon State, now 5-3-4.
On Saturday, Rich had three goals and four assists as the Mariners rolled.
Kathy Wilson had three goals and two assists while Shelly Hayden notched a goal and two assists. Erin O’Callahan, Emily Dano and Sarah Ricker each added a goal. Qualey had five saves on 10 shots.
Tara Begley blocked 16 out of 35 shots for the 1-10 visitors.
Husson sweeps pair
At Bangor, Beatriz DeYcaza scored two goals and assisted on another to help lead Husson College to a 3-1 win over Mount Ida Saturday and a 1-0 win over Lasell College Sunday.
On Sunday, DeYcaza notched a goal plus an assist as the Eagles improved to 5-4-2.
Elissa Gordon and Deidra Ham scored unassisted for Husson. Leah Drew had 10 saves on 12 shots.
Ashley Fisher tallied an unassisted goal for 3-6 Mount Ida. Amanda Thurston stopped 17 out of 29 shots.
On Saturday, DeYcaza scored the game’s only goal off a Kaylin Caron assist in the first half as the Eagles prevailed.
Drew stopped six out of seven shots for 4-4-2 Husson while Jennifer Brookmeier had four saves on six shots for 4-5 Lasell.

At Newton, Mass., Noelle Safar notched a goal plus an assist as Wheelock blanked Thomas of Waterville on Saturday.
Jenna Wass added a goal for 1-5 Wheelock. Meghan Casey made nine saves on 14 shots.
Jessie Craft stopped 12 out of 24 shots for the 0-6 Terriers.
Colby 4, Wesleyan 0
At Waterville Saturday, Laura Williamson and Kaitlin Herlihy each scored two goals as the Mules got the win.
Katie McCabe and Liz Morbeck each had assists for Colby. Elizabeth Riley and Liza Benson combined for three saves on nine shots.
Kelly McFarling stopped three out of 15 shots.
UM-Farmington 6, Lesley 0
At Cambridge, Mass., Saturday, Kelsey Burk had a goal and two assists while Jodie Welch added a goal plus an assist as UMaine-Farmington rolled.
Erin Findlan, Grace Hilmer and Hillary Hopkins each had a goal for UMF. Melissa Demerchant and Billie Jo Putnam had 10 saves on 10 shots.
Sarah Wedge and Bridgette Moore stopped 23 out of 29 shots for Lesley.

At Boston on Saturday, Eva Hanson netted a pair of goals and added an assist as the Huskies of Gorham rolled.
Julia Hanson, Liz Brunton and Amanda Valeriani had a goal apiece for the 5-4-3 winners. Marcy Ansley had two saves on two shots.
Kurstin Meehan stopped 12 out of 17 shots for 2-8 UMass-Boston.

At Boston Sunday, Erin Corey scored unassisted in the second half to give the Black Bears the victory.
Tanya Adorno stopped both shots she faced for 8-4-1 Maine.
Stephanie Dreyer and Christina Reuter didn’t make a save for the 10-3-1 Terriers.
UM-Farmington 3, Wheelock 0
At Boston on Sunday, Erin Campbell’s first-half goal was the only goal UMaine-Farmington needed.
Marci Kimball and Angie Kendall added second-half goals for 4-2-1 UMF. Kerry Koralcylf posted the shutout with six saves.
Megan Carey had 19 saves for 1-5 Wheelock.
Volleyball
Maine wins 10th straight
ORONO – The University of Maine volleyball team won its 10th straight match with an America East conference victory over University of Maryland Baltimore County Saturday.
Brittany Howe of Columbia had 18 kills and sophomore Shelly Seipp tallied 52 assists to help lead the Black Bears by the Retrievers 27-30, 30-16, 30-24, 30-18 at Memorial Gym.
Maine improves to 11-6 overall and 3-0 in America East.
Howe has a .500 hitting percentage and double-digit kill totals in each her last five contests. Senior Carmen Morgan had 12 kills and 16 digs Saturday while junior Kaili Jordan had 11 kills. Shannon Fotter added 10 kills. Jody Connacher led the team with 21 digs.
Julie Hood paced UMBC with 18 kills and Emily Berman added 16. Megan Cross led with 38 assists.
Field hockey
Maine 4, Holy Cross 1
At Worcester, Mass., Sunday, Kasey Spencer knocked in two goals as the Black Bears rolled.
Shaunessy Saucier and Traci Rainone added goals while Meagan Connolly, Rachael Hilgar and Amie Dubois had assists for 10-4 Maine. Jamie Morin had seven saves on 10 shots.
Cathleen Kerman scored unassisted for 7-5 Holy Cross. Sony Kuhn stopped five out of 10 shots.
Husson 10, Wheelock 0
At Bangor, Amanda Furbish had two goals and two assists while Amy McDaniel notched two goals and one assist as the Eagles prevailed Sunday.
Shawna Bell had two goals of her own for 4-7 Husson. Karolanne Emery notched a goal plus two assists while Sarah Skinner added a goal and Nikki Corson three assists. Courtney Ellis and Kelly Bocchino stopped all six shots they faced.
Amy Arsenault blocked 18 out of 19 shots for 0-9 Wheelock.
St. Joseph’s 5, Wheelock 1
At Standish, Kaitlyn Parent and Monique Crawford each notched two goals and made two assists to help the Lady Monks earn their first win of the season Saturday.
Molly Findlay also scored a goal for 1-10 St. Joe’s, while Katie Fortier and Darcey Ward made an assist each. Ilissa Vallee stopped all three shots.
Katherine Denissoff scored the only goal for 0-7 Wheelock and Heather Murray saved nine of 15 shots.
Keene 1, Southern Maine 0
At Keene, N.H., Saturday, senior forward Kaitlin Henley’s penalty-stroke goal with just 38 seconds to play in regulation lifted Keene State. Sara Joyce stopped all three shots to come her way for the 5-5 Owls.
Sadie Garnache-Poirier made 13 saves on 24 shots for the 1-12 Huskies.
Wesleyan 4, Colby 0
At Waterville, Saturday, Louisa Mook had one goal and two assists to lead Wesleyan. Cortney Tetrault scored one goal and assisted on another, while Jenn Wasserman and Amy Rouse both had a goal. Ashley Cecchinato had an assist and Caitlin Kelly stopped seven of 11 shots.
Molly Rice and Jamie Enos combined for 10 saves on 21 shots for Colby.
Boston University 3, Maine 2
At Cambridge, Mass., Saturday, Ashley Parker scored the winning goal for Boston University on a penalty stroke with 8:11 left in play.
Pam Speuhler and Kara Rossi both scored for the 7-4 Terriers. Sarah Hudak, Colleen McClay and Jen Joyce had assists. Erin Prediger faced three shots, but didn’t need to make any saves.
Kasey Spencer scored off a Meagan Connolly assist and Traci Rainone scored from a Rachel Hilgar assist for the 9-4 Black Bears. Jamie Morin made eight saves on 21 shots.
