CAMDEN – Fire officials say the specific cause of Saturday’s fire at Marriner’s Restaurant remains undetermined.

“As far as we know, it’s undetermined,” Assistant Fire Chief Jeff Connon said Monday. Because the fire is not considered suspicious, insurance investigators will establish the cause, Connon said.

The fire, which drew mutual aid from seven towns, extensively damaged the eatery and caused smoke and water damage to Stone Soup, a used-book store above the restaurant, and adjacent stores Camden Deli and Planet Emporium.
