MILLINOCKET – Senior Meagan Fogarty scored two first-half goals, setting the state high school record with the 103rd of her career, as Dexter High School posted a 5-3 field hockey victory over Stearns Monday afternoon.
Fogarty’s goals highlighted a five-goal outburst for Dexter. She surpassed the previous mark of 102 set by former Dexter star Kristy Veazie from 1998-2001.
Nikki Chapman also tallied twice in the first half for 8-2-1 Dexter. Vanessa Hartford scored a goal to back Cristy McGowen, who made five saves on 13 shots.
Jamie Johnson, Sarah Sindo, and Hilary Arsenault scored one goal apiece for 9-4 Stearns. Deanna Michaud made seven saves on 19 shots.
Old Town 6, Brewer 0
At Old Town, Sulva Bray tallied two goals to lead the Indians to their fourth win (4-9).
Rachel Chalila, Kari Stowe, Kaleigh Dupuis and Amanda Littlefield each added a goal for Old Town. Kitty Campbell stopped all 11 shots she faced.
Alex Russell had seven saves on 20 shots for 0-14 Brewer.
Belfast 1, Mount View 0
At Thorndike Saturday, Kelsey Jackson scored on a penalty stroke with 16:25 remaining in the first half to lift the Lions to the win.
Liz Anderson stopped both shots she faced for 13-0 Belfast.
Carrie Beverage stopped 12 out of 13 shots for the 4-8-1 Mustangs.

Boys soccer
Bangor 4, Old Town 2
At Old Town, early second-half goals seven minutes apart by Dylan George and Adam Towne (penalty kick) snapped a 1-1 tie and helped Bangor improve to 10-1-1.
George was credited with an insurance goal later when the ball went in off an Old Town defender.
JoJo Hwalek had the other Bangor goal and Towne had an assist. Aaron Taft made 15 saves.
Jimmy Honnell and Chad Dupuis (PK) scored for 3-7-2 Old Town; Tim Niles had an assist and Dustin Marley and Sam Petrie combined for 13 stops.

Hampden 4, John Bapst 1
At Hampden, Scott Hiller, Martin Early, Jay Earn and Billy Shannon each had a goal as the Broncos triumphed.
Andre Cushing and Peter Alexander notched assists for 11-0-1 HA. Max Silver had six saves on eight shots.
Ben Feeney scored unassisted for 4-7-2 John Bapst of Bangor. Brian Roach stopped six of 18 shots.

Calvary 9, East Grand 0
At Danforth, Bryan Miller, Brock Bradford and Brandon Scovill scored two goals apiece to lead Calvary Chapel of Orrington to victory.
Jeremy Brooker, Andrew Lowe and Andrew Pennisi each added a goal for the 6-1 winners. Caleb Carmichael made 14 saves on 15 shots.
For 1-10 East Grand, Ricky Parks made 35 saves on 44 shots.
Greenville 6, Vinalhaven 0
At Point Lookout Field in Northport, Jonah Lizotte scored three goals and added an assist to help the Lakers improve to 12-1.
Joe Jardine chipped in with a goal and an assist for the winners and Durgin McKusick and Jon Richards each added a goal. Kevin Lebel and Kevin Bradford notched an assist apiece.
Brandon Lavigne recorded his 10th shutout of the season with six saves on six shots.
For 4-7 Vinalhaven, Dusty Hufsey made 18 saves on 24 shots.
Bucksport 1, Orono 0
At Orono, Caleb Grindle scored unassisted in the first half to lift the Bucks to 2-8-2.
Miles Bisher stopped all 11 shots he faced for Bucksport.
Mat Lint had two saves on three shots for the 1-10-2 Red Riots.

Bangor 2, Old Town 0
At Bangor, Erin MacDermott scored two goals two minutes apart in the second half, one off a Serena Dubois assist as the Rams blanked the Indians.
Ilyse Angst stopped all nine shots she faced for 8-5 Bangor.
Amy McFalls recorded 14 saves on 16 shots for 7-4-1 Old Town.

Schenck 3, Dexter 2
At Dexter, Courtney McLaughlin scored the tying goal with 3:59 remaining and Gabrielle Rioux scored 1:03 later to give the Wolverines the come-from-behind victory.
Rioux also scored in the first half for 5-7-2 Schenck of East Millinocket. Tricia Hobbs made 11 saves on 14 shots.
Rebecca Fick and Chelsie Chambers scored one goal each for 3-9 Dexter. Ashley Richardson came up with seven saves on 15 shots.
Foxcroft 2, Piscataquis 1
At Guilford, Bryanne Clawson’s goal five minutes into the second half tied the game and Leslie Martin’s goal 20 minutes later gave the Ponies the victory over the Piscataquis Community Pirates.
Brittany Fadley made seven saves on 18 shots for the 5-5-2 winners.
Charley Bradford scored a first-half goal for the 8-4-1 Pirates and Jill Martell made 11 saves on 17 shots.
Lee 4, Penquis 0
At Lee, Shelby Pickering had three goals and one assist while Amanda Gifford notched a goal plus an assist as the Pandas improved to 13-0.
Jackie Moors made one save on two shots for Lee while Michelle Mulherin stopped 10 out of 26 for the 2-10-1 Patriots of Milo.
