ROCKPORT – Olympic medalist Nancy Ludington Graham will join the team of skating coaches at the Midcoast Recreation Center this season when the Learn-to-Skate sessions begin Thursday.

Graham won the bronze medal in pairs competition with her then husband, Ron Ludington, at the 1960 Olympics at Squaw Valley, Calif.

She and Ludington divorced in the early 1960s and she went on to coach aspiring young skaters and was recognized for her contributions to the sport when she was inducted into the U.S. Figure Skating Hall of Fame in 1993.

Graham now lives in Surry with her husband Frank Graham. She said she decided to “give up gardening and retirement and get back in skating.”
