STANDISH – Amber Richard recorded two assists to help the Thomas College Terriers defeat the Saint Joseph’s College Monks 2-0 in field hockey action Tuesday.
Meredith Arute and Molly Tibbetts each scored a goal for the Terriers of Waterville, and Jen Lane made three saves on nine shots.
Ilissa Vallee stopped 15 of 17 shots for Saint Joseph’s.

UM-Fort Kent 2, Unity 1
At Unity, Maria Williams scored her second goal of the second half with just four minutes remaining to supply the University of Maine-Fort Kent with its fifth win against three setbacks.
Williams broke in alone on goalie Christine Blakesley and, after Blakesley made the initial save, she kicked it out of the goalie’s hands and into the net.
Williams had tied the game after Kristen Wendling had staked Unity to a 1-0 lead in the first half.
Kara Jackson made 10 saves on 13 shots for UM-Fort Kent and Blakesley finished with 22 on 25 for 2-6 Unity.
