Bangor’s junior tailback torched Waterville’s defense with 172 yards and three touchdowns on 23 carries as he helped the Rams football team improve to 5-1 this season with a 46-8 victory at Cameron Stadium in Bangor.
Small School (Classes C-D)
ISAAC YOUNG
The Mattanawcook Academy of Lincoln sophomore defensive end led the Lynx to their fifth win and first shutout this season with nine tackles, four sacks and one fumble recovery in a 22-0 football win over John Bapst of Bangor on Friday.
GIRLS
Big School (Classes A-B)
SERENA DUBOIS
The Bangor High senior forward scored three goals and had two assists in the Rams’ last three games. Bangor, now 8-5, has won five of its last six games.
Small School (Classes C-D)
HANNAH BRETON
Breton, a sophomore on Greenville’s soccer team, had seven goals and one assist in four wins last week. She has 19 goals this year and the Lakers were No. 2 in the recent Eastern Maine Class D Heal Point standings. Breton also won two cross country races, the Schenck Invitational and a meet at Richmond.
