MILLINOCKET – IGA Inc. announced recently that the Millinocket IGA was awarded the company’s prestigious Five Star rating, putting the store in the top 10 percent of 1,600 IGA supermarkets nationwide.

“We’re extremely proud that our supermarket and employees earned the Five Star rating,” said Alan Pangburn, owner of Millinocket IGA.

The rating is part of an initiative by IGA to ensure independently owned and operated supermarkets are consistent in their level of operational excellence. To receive a Five Star rating, a store must meet or exceed at least 92 percent of some 1,200 area of operations that are checked.
