ELLSWORTH – Jensen Rich scored the winning goal off a Andy Berry assist with 8:14 left Friday, lifting Class B Ellsworth to a 3-2 boys soccer victory over Bangor.

Demetrios Katsiaficas and Taylor Wentworth each scored a goal for 11-1-2 Ellsworth. Matt Homich and Pat Nabozny both had an assist, and Cory Smith stopped five of nine shots.

Troy Jellison and Dylan George each scored a goal for 11-2-1 Bangor, and Aaron Taft stopped eight of 16 shots.

JV: Bangor 2-1

Woodland 2, East Grand 1

At Woodland, the Dragons’ Ben Leighton scored with 18:20 remaining in the second half to snap a 1-1 tie.

Leighton also scored the first goal for 5-7 Woodland, while Todd Diadone and Steve Newell posted an assist apiece. Craig Moody made 16 saves on 17 shots.

Caleb Dicker knocked in the lone goal for the 1-10-1 Vikings of Danforth, and Ricky Parks made 28 saves on 30 shots.

MDI 5, Bucksport 0

At Bucksport, Matt Grover scored two goals and Max Blanford made three saves on five shots to spark the Trojans.

Dan Lyons, Jordan Merchant, and Willy Romano posted a goal apiece for the 7-5-2 Trojans.

Miles Bisher made 15 saves on 24 shots for the 2-10-2 Golden Bucks.

George Stevens 4, PVHS 1

At Blue Hill, Blake Wessel scored two goals to carry the Eagles to victory.

Phineas Peake and Tim Carter netted one goal each for 11-2-1 George Stevens Academy, while Zachary Huckel-Bauer posted two assists. Collin Henry and Mark Ensworth combined to make five saves on six shots.

Matt Cummings scored for

5-8-1 Penobscot Valley of Howland. Josh Ireland made seven saves on 11 shots.

Dexter 3, DI-Stonington 1

At Deer Isle, Dan Beatham, Ethan Woodman, and Brandon Woodman scored a goal apiece, leading the Tigers to victory.

Sam Bower made 10 saves on 11 shots for 7-6-1 Dexter.

Taber Johnson scored on a Rob Brown assist for 6-8 Deer Isle-Stonington. Thomas Robbins made 12 saves on 15 shots.

Piscataquis 7, Searsport 3

At Guilford, Jarrod Robinson had a hat trick with three goals to lift Piscataquis to the win.

Ben Webb scored two goals for 7-6-1 Piscataquis, and Mike Warff and Roy Burdin both added a goal. Ryan Martell stopped nine of 12 shots.

Hiroki Dempo had two goals for 3-10-1 Searsport and Omar Chaar added a goal. Jon Moore made 14 saves on 25 shots.

Hampden 13, Nokomis 0

At Hampden, Martin Earley scored five goals to help Hampden Academy to the victory.

Peter Alexander and Poppy Sankla each had two goals for 13-0-1 Hampden. Nattapong Kongsuriya, Billy Shannon, Andre Cushing, and Sam Drew all scored a goal. Max Silver stopped one of two shots.

Wayne May made nine saves on 22 shots for 1-12-1 Nokomis.

Hermon 4, Old Town 1

At Hermon, Ben Adams scored two goals to help push Hermon to the victory.

Joey Carmichael and Chris Archer each had a goal for 8-6 Hermon. Ryan Tarr had two assists and Anthony Rowe had one. Corey Stanhope stopped 10 of 11 shots.

Chris St. Lewis scored a goal with 31 minutes left in the second half for 4-8-2 Old Town. Dustin Marley and Stan Petrie combined to make nine saves on 13 shots.

JV: Hermon 4-1

Foxcroft 3, Orono 0

At Orono, Don Shin scored two second-half goals to lift Foxcroft Academy to the win.

Nick Briggs scored a first-half goal for 7-7 Foxcroft Academy, and James Tirrell stopped all six shots.

Mat Lint made seven saves on 10 shots for 1-11-2 Orono.

Lee 4, Penquis 1

At Milo, Everett Houghton and Rick Kim each scored a goal and had an assist to help Lee Academy earn the win.

Jake Kang and Yon Jung each had a goal for the 13-1 Pandas. Kris King made seven saves on 11 shots.

Nathan Allen scored on a Adam Balash assist for 5-9 Penquis. Drew Hamlin stopped 12 of 19 shots.

Greenville 4, Calvary Chapel 1

At Greenville, Durgin McKusick scored two goals to push Greenville to the win.

Joe Jardine and Kyle Belmont each scored a goal for 13-1 Greenville, and Jonah Lizotte had an assist. Brandon Lavigne made two saves on five shots.

Rosaire Veilleux scored a second-half goal for 8-2 Calvary Chapel of Orrington. Kaleb Carmichael stopped 11 of 33 shots.

Girls soccer

Woodland 1, Shead 0 (OT)

At Eastport, Tabitha Hagenaars scored from just outside the 18-yard line with three seconds remaining in the first overtime to even the Dragons’ record at 7-7.

Cindy Burgin made 18 saves for Woodland, and Brittany Cox had 15 saves for the 6-7-1 Tigerettes.

Bucksport 2, MDI 0

At Mount Desert, Lindsey Gordon tallied twice in the first half to provide all the scoring for the 10-3-1 Golden Bucks.

Keely Sullivan made sure the two were enough as she made seven saves on nine shots.

Asia Ross made six saves on 11 shots for the 1-7-6 Trojans.

Hampden 3, Nokomis 0

At Newport, Kimble Rawcliffe scored two goals to help lead Hampden Academy to the win.

Lili Berube scored a goal and had an assist for 10-3-1 Hampden. Annie Lafayette and Michelle Manning both had an assist. Michelle Wells stopped two of three shots.

Rozlyn Peterson made 23 saves on 31 shots for 1-13 Nokomis.

Orono 2, Foxcroft 1 (OT)

At Dover-Foxcroft, Katie Glencross scored the winning goal with 14 seconds remaining in overtime to give Orono the win.

Emily Balaban scored a goal with eight minutes left in the first half for 2-9-3 Orono. Sarah Balaban-Garber stopped eight of nine shots.

Sarah Anderson scored with 13 minutes left in the first half for 6-8 Foxcroft Academy. Brittany Fadley made one save on three shots.

Hermon 2, Old Town 1

At Old Town, Cassie White scored goals at five and 10 minutes into the game to help lead Hermon to the win.

Jessie Ford made nine saves on 15 shots for 6-4-4 Hermon.

At Brewer, Hannah Breton scored two goals to lift Greenville over Calvary Chapel of Orrington.

Kahla Lander, Emily Fowle, and Brittany Boucher each scored a goal for 13-1 Greenville. Beth Bartley made 24 saves on 26 shots.

Emilye Ericson and Chauntel Veilleux scored for 8-3-1 Calvary Chapel. Mallory Ericson stopped 10 of 15 shots.

Madawaska 2, Caribou 0

At Caribou, Sarah Nadeau scored on a Elizabeth Clavette assist with 4:21 left in the first half to help Madawaska to the win.
