LEWISTON – Brandon Colon completed 18 of his 27 passing attempts for 197 yards and a touchdown to lead the Bates College football team to a 28-7 win over Wesleyan, which is the Bobcats’ first win over the Cardinals since 1982.
Colon also rushed for a touchdown and Matt Capone recovered a Wesleyan fumble in the endzone. Luke Vitas caught Colon’s TD pass and Jamie Walker, who rushed for 106 yards on 24 carries, also scored for Bates.

At Castine, Corey Hetherman passed for 177 yards and two touchdowns as the Falcons topped the Mariners.
Patrick Bard paced Maine Maritime with 100 yards on 5-for-20 passing, including a 53-yard TD pass to Derek Mishou. Bard also had a rushing touchdown. Nate Bolduc led the Mariners with 10 tackles and Brian Guillerault had two interceptions.

Amherst 19, Colby 10
At Amherst, Mass., Jay Wagstaff caught a 54-yard touchdown pass and returned a punt 65 yards for another touchdown as Amherst rallied past the White Mules.
Colby led 10-7 at halftime but Wagstaff reeled off his punt return and Dan Kovolisky sacked Colby quarterback Justin Smith in the endzone for a safety. Fletcher Ladd led Amherst with 105 yards on 24 carries.
Chris Bashaw, who rushed for 47 yards on 20 carries, scored on a one-yard run in the first quarter and John Goss kicked a 39-yard field goal for the Mules’ lead. Wayne Harrington had 18 tackles.

Hamilton 51, Bowdoin 48 (OT)
At Clinton, N.Y., quarterback Brandon Holstag rushed for a one-yard touchdown in overtime as Hamilton edged Bowdoin.
Holstag had 230 yards rushing and 279 passing to lead the Continentals. He also rushed for a five-yard touchdown to open the extra period, but Bowdoin’s Rob Patchett (233 yards on 39 carries) responded with an 18-yard run to tie it again.
Nolan McNair booted a 26-yard field goal as Bowdoin regained the lead, but Holtslag’s run lifted Hamilton for good.
