Regarding the letter, “Signs of political divide” (BDN, Oct. 8).

No doubt Ellen Booraem will be gratified to know that “sign snatching” isn’t limited to Hancock County, or to Republican “pranksters.” The Bush-Cheney sign in our yard was also stolen recently under cover of darkness. Probably by somebody who also thought their candidate might fail to measure up based on his checkered political record.

Cheer up, dear Democrat; they may steal our signs, but can’t steal our vote at the polls – and that’s what counts.
