Over the past few months I have observed people walking into the police station at all time of day and night, regardless of weather. This is considered by many to be a place of safety and refuge when needed.
In most areas the police station is located downtown. This is where residents and visitors expect to find it.
Downtown is a better location for pedestrians who many need help fast. In some cases, they do not have access to a phone.
Has anyone thought of building up two or three floors on the building on Court Street? It seems as though this would save the taxpayers a lot of money.
