Boo yeah

Are you the ghostess with the mostest? You could be with Pottery Barns boo-tiful candles, which will be a scary centerpiece at your Halloween party – whether or not kids are invited. They cost $16.49 and are available at www.potterybarn.com. Click on the “accessories” menu; they’re under the Halloween heading.

Swan song

Australian shiraz is the darling of the wine market right now, but what about Australian cuisine? The folks at Black Swan Vineyards aim to teach at least one lucky winner and friends in their Culinary Adventure Down Under sweepstakes, an 11-day, 12-night tour of the continent’s top regional restaurants. To enter, visit www.blackswanwines.com.

Thanks a latte

If you’re crazy for cappuccino, you’re not alone. Dunkin’ Donuts is celebrating the first anniversary of its popular lattes, cappuccinos and espressos by offering free latte samples in participating stores in Bangor from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today. The celebration will end with a half-hour-long fireworks display – in Dunkin’ Donuts’ signature pink and orange – at 6:15 p.m. at the Bangor waterfront.
