Big School (Classes A-B)

RAMSEY LAFAYETTE

A senior two-way tackle for the Hampden Academy football team, Lafayette led the Broncos to a 20-0 victory over Falmouth on Saturday. He was in on 10 tackles, including three for losses, as well as two quarterback sacks and a forced fumble. His work on the offensive side of the ball helped the Broncos amass 271 rushing yards.

Small School (Classes C-D)

ISAAC CARNEY

Carney, a forward for the Washburn boys soccer team, set a school record for goals in a season win a goal in the Beavers’ 2-0 victory against Central Aroostook of Mars Hill in an Eastern Maine Class D preliminary-round game on Tuesday. Carney gave 11-3-1 Washburn a 1-0 lead with a first-half goal, his 28th of the season.

GIRLS

Big School (Classes A-B)

LINDSEY GORDON

The Bucksport High soccer standout scored seven of the Golden Bucks’ 10 goals in three games last week. She had a hat trick in a game against Orono. The Bucks outscored their opponents 10-1 in that stretch to finish the regular season with a 10-3-1 record. Gordon has scored 18 of Bucksport’s 29 goals this season and has five assists.

Small School (Classes C-D)

ASHLEY NEMER

Nemer, a junior goalkeeper for the Ashland soccer team, beat Wisdom 3-0 on Oct. 14 to earn her 11th shutout of the season and the 25th of her career. Her 11 shutouts are a school record and the Hornets set a school record with 13 wins this season.
