After an extensive investigation and surveillance of an apartment on Boynton Street in Bangor, police made their move Tuesday night and executed a search warrant.

Kimberly Morris, 43, and her boyfriend, Gary R. Porter, 55, the residents of 11 Boynton St. Apt. 4, were home when four police officers showed up about 8:45 p.m. with the warrant, but neither occupant came to the door, reported Bangor police Officer Shawn Green, one of four patrol officers involved in executing the search warrant. The officers forced their way into the home.

Inside they found 1 3/4 ounces of marijuana, 120 prescription pills, drug paraphernalia and $1,430 in cash that police suspect came from the sale of drugs, Green said. The drug paraphernalia found included pipes, digital scales and small plastic bags.

Morris and Porter were charged with furnishing marijuana, unlawful possession of a Schedule Y drug – identified as Klonopin – and unlawful possession of a Schedule W drug – identified as oxycodone and Vicodin. They were released on bail.

It was apparently deja vu for Morris, who police said was arrested five months earlier on a drug charge that stemmed from a search of the same home.

The search warrant was executed by Officer Eric Tourtelotte, who Green said had been keeping tabs on the home for a couple of months, watching the unusual amount of traffic making its way through the apartment.
