Hamel has many talents

The voters of the St John Valley and all the 2nd Congressional District have the opportunity to vote for a man with a proven track record for the people of Maine. Brian Hamel has been a powerful advocate for our community over the last several years.

As chairman of the Loring Development Authority, Brian was the motivating factor in creating some 1200 jobs at the former Loring Air Force Base. As chairman of the Maine Community College System, Hamel is using his great business skills to help develop training programs that will provide potential employers with a trained work force. As chairman of the Maine Winter Sports Center, he provided the leadership to develop a world class sports facility in Aroostook County that is promoting tourism and economic opportunities to our area.

He’s a highly motivated leader with a sincere desire to give of his many talents to the community. During his tenure as head of the LDA, politicians from both sides of the isle have hitched their wagons to this work horse. He has shown all who know him to be a proactive leader.

He is dedicated to improving the business climate in Maine and based on his record of accomplishments, He would no doubt be a powerful advocate for all of us in Congress. This family man has given much of himself to the people of Maine over the last several years. Now it’s payback time.

We should all support behind this great man and send him to Washington where he can continue to have positive results for all of us, both Republican and Democrat.

Philip L. Michaud
