Maine Handicapped Skiing, Maine’s largest adaptive recreation program for adults and children with physical disabilities, is looking for new participants to learn to downhill and cross country ski, snowboard, or snowshoe in 2005.
Winter lessons are taught, free of charge, at three ski resorts: Sunday River Ski Resort, Sugarloaf/USA, and Sunday River Inn and Cross Country Ski Center. In addition, in 2005, MHS will give cross country skiing and snowshoeing lessons at Pineland Farms in New Gloucester on Jan, 12 and 26, Feb. 9, 23, 24, 25 and March 9 & 23.
