Amid a renaissance of interest in Hebrew, Beth Abraham Synagogue in Bangor plans a five-week “crash course.” Rabbi Fred Nebel (photo) says the National Jewish Outreach Program will present the “Crash Course in Reading Hebrew” at Beth Abraham, 145 York St., starting at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18. Nebel says participants should be able to “walk out knowing how to read Hebrew.” He said those who have taken such a course and want to brush up are invited, too. Call 947-0876 for information.
