ORONO – Mardy Simon ran 246 yards on 14 carries and scored five touchdowns to lead the Orono Red Riots to a 59-28 high school football victory over the Maranacook Black Bears Friday night.
Simon became Orono’s first 1,000-yard rusher on the season.
Adam Chase completed 5 of 6 passes for 140 yards, including a 11-yard pass to Joe Fullwood. Dusty Thomas ran 4 yards to score a touchdown, and Fullwood added an 11-yard TD run.
Chad Sanborn had 19 tackles for Orono, and Micah Michio added two sacks.

At Lincoln, Nick Tymoczko scored twice in the first quarter and three times overall to lead the Golden Bucks past the Lynx.
Tymoczko had touchdown runs of 7 and 2 yards in the first quarter and 4 yards in the third. Joey Carmichael added the final TD on a 1-yard run in the fourth quarter, and Reed Beeson made all four PAT kicks.
Tymoczko carried 27 times and picked up 182 yards to pace Bucksport’s running game. Bryce Babson added 70 yards on eight carries.

Hampden’s Jeremy Tyler opened the scoring with a 2-yard run in the first quarter, and Blaine Meehan closed out the game’s scoring on a 25-yard pass from Chris Morris.
Tyler ran 20 times for 140 yards, and Justin Preston added 50 yards on 15 carries and 28 yards on three pass receptions. Som Ratsakonsy had a fumble recovery, a sack, seven tackles, and two assists.

The teams combined for 768 total yards, with Hazen Pingree rushing for 131 yards and two touchdowns and Jordan Stevens adding 82 yards and two scores to lead the victorious Cougars.
Aaron Chambers paced Skowhegan with 241 rushing yards and a touchdown, while backfield mate Jason Lisherness added 123 rushing yards and three TDs.

At Fairfield, Tyler Madore rushed for 155 yards and two touchdowns as Waterville ended its season with a narrow win over archrival Lawrence.
Madore scored on runs of 68 and 5 yards in the first half to stake the Purple Panthers to a 14-0 lead.
Aaron Champagne scored on a 3-yard run and Craig Young added a 1-yard TD run in the fourth quarter for Lawrence.
Young finished with 184 yards on 27 carries.
