PRESQUE ISLE – Natasha Deschene headed in a Nikki James corner kick with six minutes left in overtime to boost the No. 1 Presque Isle Wildcats past No. 8 Camden Hills 2-1 in Eastern Maine Class B quarterfinal soccer action Saturday.

James scored the game’s first goal off a pass from Angela Norsworthy with about 18 minutes left in the second half. Camden Hills’ Lexi Coleman tied it with six minutes remaining in regulation.

Brianna Young stopped five of sic shots for 15-0 Presque Isle. Beth Heron made 11 saves on 19 shots for 10-5-1 Camden Hills.

John Bapst 1, Belfast 0

At Bangor, Jocelyn Bunker scored the winning goal with three minutes remaining off a Sara Lammert assist.

Caroline Cassling made 16 saves for No. 3 John Bapst for the shutout. Bryna Harrington saved 16 of 17 shots for No. 6 Belfast.

Winslow 2, Hermon 0

At Winslow, Cathy Sirois scored an unassisted goal with 4:04 left in the first half to push No. 2 Winslow past No. 7 Hermon.

Brittany Morin added an unassisted goal with 24:14 left in the second half for 12-1-2 Winslow. Hannah Brazier made four saves on five shots.

Shannon Wiggin and Jessie Ford combined to made 22 saves on 39 shots for 7-5-4 Hermon.

Class C

Limestone 3, PenobscotValley 2

At Howland, Limestone’s Ellie Dunn scored the winning goal, upsetting no. 3 Penobscot Valley. It was Dunn’s second goal of the game. Lindsey Beaulieu scored first for the Eagles.

The Howlers’ Ashley Dawson tied the game in the beginning of the second half with two goals 1:10 apart.

Melanie Allen, keeper for No. 6 Limestone made 14 saves on 21 shots. Jenn Plourde saved four of seven shots.

Madawaska 1, Central 0

At Madawaska, Kelly Chassey led No. 2 Madawaska to victory with her goal off an Ashley Cyr assist.

Liz Laplante saved eight of nine shots for 9-3-3 Madawaska. Nicole Daniel made 16 saves on 26 shots for No. 10 Central that ended its season 7-8-1.

Searsport 5, Piscataquis 0

At Searsport, Nori Francis-Mezger scored a goal and assisted another to help push No. 1 Searsport past No. 8 Piscataquis.

Aimee Neilson, Abby Tripp, Gracie Messinger, and Natasha Zito all scored a goal for 13-1-1 Searsport. Breanna Kingsbury and Theresa Cameron both had an assist. April Pickering stopped both shots.

Jill Martell made 16 saves on 28 shots for 9-6-1 Piscataquis.

George Stevens 2, Wash. Acad. 0

At East Machias, Brandi Winters scored to goals to push No. 5 George Stevens Academy of Blue Hill past No. 4 Washington Academy.

Laura Overton assisted Winters’ first goal for 7-5-3 George Stevens and Kayla Eaton made nine saves on 11 shots.

Meghan Rose stopped eight of 10 shots for 11-2 Washington Academy.

Class D

Van Buren 3, S. Aroostook 2

At Van Buren, Amber Martin, Katie Beckwith and Megan Lajoie scored in the second half, winning the game for the No. 4 home team.

Kaylee Caulier and Aubrey Charette each score for No. 5 Southern Aroostook.

Erin Caswell saved eight of 14 shots for 10-5 S. Aroostook. Lisa Levasseur made three saves on eight shots for 8-6-1 Van Buren.

Ashland 3, Calvary Chapel 1

At Ashland, Caitlin Sherman scored twice, lifting 14-1 Ashland to the win off assists from Angela Belskis and Kasey Boyd.

Ashlee Peters nets the winning goal off a Beth Chamberlin assist.

Monique Veilleux scored 10-4-1 Calvary Chapel’s only goal off a Brittany Lowe assist.

Ashley Nemer saved 14 of 15 shots for No. 3 Ashland. Jessica Graves made seven saves on 10 shots for No. 6 Calvary Chapel.

Greenville 5, Washburn 0

At Greenville, Hannah Breton scored two goals to help lead No. 2 Greenville to the win over No. 10 Washburn.

Rica Breton, Kahla Lander, and Emily Fowle each added a goal for 14-1 Greenville. Kristie Richardson had an assist as Beth Bartley stopped all three shots.

Amber Palmer made 14 saves on 23 shots for 8-8 Washburn.

Boys soccer

Class C

Madawaska 6, Central 0

At Corinth, Tyler Levesque netted three goals as he led the No. 10 Owls to a quarterfinal upset over second-seeded Central.

Matt Bosse, Billy Roy, and Paul Roy had a goal apiece for 8-6-2 Madawaska. Charles Haney faced 23 shots and saved 14.

Paul Michaud made 18 saves on 25 shots for the 7-6-2 Red Devils.

Field hockey

Class B

Rockland 2, Waterville 1

At Rockland, Lindsay Barnes scored on a Whitney Rossite assist at 12:43 into the first half to help No. 2 Rockland past No. 3 Waterville.

Rossite added a goal 35 seconds into the second half off of a Caitlyn Hines assist for 15-1 Rockland. Dana Clark made 10 saves on 17 shots.

Shelly Roberts scored on a Eryka Quinn assist at 23:15 into the second half for 9-4-3 Waterville. Ashley Poulin stopped 13 of 15 shots.

Class C

Winthrop 2, Dexter 1 (2OT)

At Winthrop, Nicole Emery scored the game-winning goal at 2:29 into the second overtime to lead No. 2 Winthrop to the semifinal victory over No. 3 Dexter.

Emery also tied the game five minutes into the second half for 14-0-2 Winthrop. Keltie Mullen made three saves on five shots.

Vanessa Hartford scored five minutes into the first half for 10-5-1 Dexter. Cristy McGowan stopped six of 14 shots.

Stearns 1, PCHS 0

At Guilford, Holly Franck scored the winning goal off a penalty stroke for No. 4 Stearns of Millinocket.

Deanna Michaud made 14 saves on 26 shots for 12-4 Stearns.

Amy Knowlton saved two of three shots for No. 1 Piscataquis, which finished at 13-3.
