BANGOR – The coalition for Environmentally Safe Communities will hold a town meeting on lead poisoning from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, at Bangor City Hall.

The event is co-sponsored by the Maine Bureau of Health, Maine Department of Environmental Protection, Maine Lead Action Project and Maine States Housing Authority.

Featured speakers will include Gov. John Baldacci, Sen. Susan Collins, Chris Stenberg from Maine Medical Center, parents of affected children, and housing and toxic materials experts with information on the hazards, harmful effects and prevention of lead poisoning.
