DOVER-FOXCROFT – Kim Thebault of Sebec, director of patient care services at Mayo Regional Hospital since 2001, has been named president of OMNE: Nursing Leaders of Maine.

Thebault’s one-year term began this month. OMNE’s mission is to direct the course of professional nursing in Maine and promote sound health care policies at the state, local and national levels.

Thebault, who grew up in Fryeburg, earned nursing degrees from Westbrook College and the University of New Hampshire and a law degree from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minn. She was director of emergency services at Fairview Riverside Medical Center in Minneapolis before she returned to Maine in 2001.

She is a member of Mayo’s senior management team, which is responsible for all nursing services. She also oversees related departments, including emergency medical services, pharmacy, anesthesiology, social services, physician assistants, diabetes and nutrition center, and outpatient clinics.
