PRESQUE ISLE – Oren Smith set up the go-ahead goal and then scored the game-winner as No. 3 Winslow upended No. 2 Presque Isle 4-2 in their Eastern Maine Class B schoolboy semifinal here Tuesday.
It was a rematch of last year’s Eastern B final won by Winslow 4-3.
Smith, positioned at the far post, headed a corner kick to Golf Pengthong and he headed it home to make it 2-1 with 15 minutes left in the first half.
Oren Smith and Drew Smith scored in the first 10 minutes of the second half to expand the lead to 4-1 before Sam Mathers closed out the scoring off a Nate Carter pass with three minutes left.
Winslow’s Colin Hay opened the scoring before Greg Whitaker equalized.
Tyler Levasseur made six saves for 14-1-1 Winslow while Brad Baker made six stops for 13-3 Presque Isle.
Class D
Van Buren 2, Lee 1 (PKs)
At Lee, the No. 5 Crusaders outscored the No. 1 Pandas 4-3 in the first round of penalty kicks to gain a spot in the regional final after neither team could break a 1-1 tie through four overtimes.
Van Buren’s Andy Martin scored off a Trevor Hews assist with 9:30 left in regulation to tie it. Rick Kim gave Lee the early lead when scored unassisted three minutes after halftime.
Andrew Taylor made 12 saves on 24 shots for the 15-2 Crusaders. Pete Pickering stopped eight of 13 shots for the 14-3 Pandas.
Bangor Christian 4, Washburn 3
At Bangor, Justin Phinney scored the game-winner with 7:25 left as the fourth-ranked Patriots knocked off No. 3 Washburn.
Ignacio Bustos had two goals for 13-3-1 Bangor Christian and Zach Butz had one. Shane Murphy and Matt Denbow each notched an assist, while Aaron Wilson stopped six of 14 shots.
Isaac Carney tied the game at 3-3 with 9:39 to go for the Beavers. Josh Goupille and Adam Thompson also had goals. Ben Goupille and Sam Harris both had an assist. Jason Thompson faced 19 shots, saving seven.
Class A
Hampden 4, Waterville 0
At Waterville, Joseph Uhrin and Martin Earley scored 24 seconds apart early in the first half and Nattapong Kongsuriya added a pair of insurance goals as No. 5 Hampden Academy upset top seed Waterville.
Kongsuriya capped the three-goal first half before concluding the scoring in the second half.
Andre Cushing and Joshua McNutt had assists for the 16-0-1 Broncos, who will travel to face No. 3 Mount Ararat of Topsham, 13-1-2 and a 2-0 semifinal winner over Brunswick, in Saturday’s Eastern Maine final.
Max Silver made three saves on 15 shots for the Broncos while Zack Jochem stopped five of 16 shots for 12-3-1 Waterville.
Class C
Dexter 1, GSA 0 (PKs)
At Blue Hill, after tying 4-4 in the first round of penalty kicks, senior fullback Ryan Crane scored his first career goal, putting his shot low to the goalie’s right, to win the game in sudden death kicks.
Sam Bowers faced 20 shots and saved 10 for the No. 4 Tigers, now 9-6-1. Collin Henry and Mark Ensworth combined for 12 saves on 16 shots for No. 1 George Stevens Academy, which finished at 12-3-1.

Class D
Lee 3, Van Buren 0
At Lee Academy, freshman midfielders Dana Houghton and Brooke Harris scored first-half goals to pace the top-seeded Pandas past No. 4 Van Buren.
Houghton scored during a scramble off an Aarika Ritchie corner and Harris headed home a Houghton corner 9:30 later. Shelby Pickering added an insurance goal in the second half.
Jackie Moors made two saves on three shots for 16-0 Lee Academy while Lisa Levasseur stopped 14 of 29 shots for 8-7-1 Van Buren.
