BANGOR – The Kerry-Edwards campaign announced Thursday that Democratic vice presidential candidate John Edwards is returning to Maine on Saturday to headline a Fresh Start for America Rally in downtown Bangor. Edwards will be joined at the rally by his parents, Bobbie and Wallace Edwards.

Tickets, which are free, are available in Bangor at the Victory 2004 headquarters at 56 Main St., BookMarc’s at 78 Harlow St, and Fairmount Market at 622 Hammond St. Tickets also can be obtained by visiting www.johnkerry.com/tickets or by calling 942-5830. Admittance to the event, which will be outside on the Bangor Waterfront, near the harbor master’s office, will begin at 12:30 p.m. Saturday.

Also, Vanessa Kerry, John Kerry’s daughter, is scheduled to visit the Victory 2004 headquarters in Bangor at 3 p.m. Friday to talk to volunteers at a sign-painting party in anticipation of the Edwards visit.
