HERMON – The Penobscot County Emergency Preparedness test that took place Saturday, Oct. 23, was rated a success by the Penobscot County Amateur Radio Emergency Service.

The exercise is an annual fall event sponsored by the American Radio Relay League.

Maine’s drill was planned around a simulated category 1 hurricane. Volunteer radio operators from Penobscot and surrounding counties participated.
