The Chamber Choir at St. John’s Catholic Church has released its first CD, “Exsultate,” a recording of sacred music for choir and organ by Brahms, Brucker, Mendelssohn, Mozart, Palestrina and others. “Exsultate” was made during the 2003-04 season. Directed by Kevin Birch, the choir was launched in 1995 and has offered an opportunity for people to study and perform inspired music in an exceptional acoustical environment at St. John’s. The Bangor landmark this year is marking the 150th anniversary of the laying of its cornerstone. A concert will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, at St. John’s, 207 York St. to celebrate the release.
