Letters, gifts and music were part of a celebration Oct. 16 as Bradford Baptist Church marked the 25th anniversary of its pastor, the Rev. Donald Booker. Deacon Scott Roberts presided over a program that included a photo CD of Booker and his family. Letters of congratulation were read from associate members and friends from away. A monetary gift and card basket were presented to Booker and his wife, Rachel Booker. Their daughters, Ashley and Allie, played a harp and violin duet in honor of their dad. The hospitality committee provided a buffet supper. A cake with the church’s picture on it ended the evening, in which about 130 people participated. Booker is a graduate of Bangor Christian Schools and New Brunswick Bible Institute. He began his pastorate in Bradford on Jan. 7, 1979.
