BANGOR – Two Penobscot County commissioner seats are up for election this year, with one incumbent running unopposed.
Penobscot County Commissioner Thomas Davis, a Republican from Kenduskeag, is running for re-election in District 2, which covers 21 communities from the outskirts of Bangor to Dixmont, Dexter and Bradford. Carl Pease, a Democrat from Hampden who serves as a Hampden town councilor, is running to unseat Davis.
Penobscot County Commissioner Peter K. Baldacci, a Democrat from Bangor, is running unopposed for District 1, which encompasses Bangor, Brewer, Veazie, Eddington, Holden and Clifton.
Susan M. Almy, a Democrat from Charleston, is running for re-election as register of probate.
