BANGOR – The Cole Land Transportation Museum will participate in Veterans Day activities on Thursday, Nov. 11.

Veterans will take part in the Veterans Day Parade, with World War II veterans forming at 9:30 a.m. at the Brewer Shopping Plaza and stepping off at 10:15 a.m. to proceed through downtown Bangor.

After the parade, Cole Land Transportation Museum will offer free admission to all veterans and to active military personnel and their immediate families.

Awards will be presented at 1 p.m. at the museum for writers participating in the essay contest, “What Freedom Means to Me after Interviewing a Veteran.”

The Bangor Band will present its Veterans Day patriotic concert at 2 p.m. in the museum.

The museum will be open 9 a.m.-5 p.m., then will close for the season.
