Exeter man still critical five days after crash

BOSTON – A Maine man remained in critical condition at a Boston hospital Monday, five days after his pickup truck crashed and then caught on fire in Corinna.

Greg Frost, 20, of Exeter suffered extensive injuries and burns, despite efforts by the first police officers on scene, who used a fire extinguisher from a cruiser to help keep the flames from the driver. Penobscot County Sheriff’s Deputy James Kennedy and State Trooper Doug Franklin then used a fire extinguisher he received from arriving fire crews until a water hose could be charged and used on the burning pickup truck.
