Here’s a flash for fans of the Jethro Tull band.
In the spirit of charitable giving, Maine Center for the Arts Advisory Board Chairman Mel Braverman is challenging someone to buy his two great seats for the rock and roll concert, which is at 8 tonight, at the MCA on the University of Maine campus in Orono.
Braverman’s challenge is $1,000 for the two tickets to benefit the MCA’s $10.2 million renovation campaign, reports Kassie Stevens Walker, director of major gifts for the MCA.
Continuing “in the spirit of charitable giving,” she said, “the band members have agreed to meet and greet whoever purchases those tickets, and we’ll throw in an MCA gift bag, too.”
The tickets will be offered first come, first served at the MCA box office, which opens at 6:30 tonight, for the 8 p.m. show.
The tickets can be purchased either at the box office at 6:30 p.m., or by calling the box office at 6:30 p.m. at 581-1766.
