CASTINE – The Maine Maritime Academy Chapter of Alpha Phi Omega, the national community service organization, will sponsor a blood drive dedicated to the memory of Evans A. Spear from 1 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16, in the Alexander Field House.

Spear was an MMA student from Yarmouth who was diagnosed in 2001 with Hodgkin’s lymphoma at the age of 19. He died despite extensive treatment.
