Outlook: The Black Bears return from a challenging regular-season tournament at Louisiana State to play their final exhibition game. UMaine will keep working on its offensive schemes while playing a lot of man-to-man defense tonight. The National Women’s Basketball League Elite All-Star team is made up of several former college players from the Northeast. The NWBL has struggled, losing to the likes of America East members Hartford and Albany along with Massachusetts and Holy Cross. Coach Sharon Versyp hopes to get plenty of playing time for everybody, especially the younger players, heading into Sunday’s regular-season game at Southern Methodist.
