Maine Maritime Academy linebacker Chris Tracy has been named the 2004 New England Football Conference Defensive Rookie of the Year. The Westbrook native led the Mariners this season in tackles for loss (13.5-51 yards) and sacks (4-19 yards). He was also third on the team in total tackles with 55.

Joe Crowe of Gorham was named to an NEFC honorable mention at offensive guard.
