By car:

. Make sure you have plenty of gas.

By plane:

. Arrive at the airport 1-11/2 hours before your flight is scheduled to depart.

. Allow extra time if traveling with children.

. Sneakers typically will not set off metal detectors at security checkpoints.

. Don’t wrap gifts.

. Adults need photo identification.

. Make sure to pack medicine and valuables in carry-on luggage.

. Pack sufficient items in your carry-on in case you get stranded or your luggage is lost.

By bus:

. Call the terminal to get arrival and departure information early.

. Arrive at the station at least 45 minutes before your bus is scheduled to depart.

. Purchase tickets in advance when possible.
