The Santa’s Helper Fund, collected annually by the Bangor Daily News and given to the Salvation Army to benefit families in need, received more generous donations on Tuesday.

Tuesday’s contributions bring the Santa’s Helper Fund total to date to $7,224. The 2004 goal is $50,000. The Salvation Army uses the money to buy food and other necessities, and to provide a few Christmas presents for children in families experiencing financial hardships.
Donations may be sent to Santa’s Helper Fund, P.O. Box 1329, Bangor 04402-1329. Donors’ names and dollar amounts will be published in the Santa’s Helper column daily. Donors who wish to remain anonymous will be listed as such, followed by their donation amounts. Thank you in advance for your generosity.
