BOSTON – Four University of Maine football players were selected for the 2004 New England Football Writers Division I-AA All-Star squad Wednesday.
Senior tailback Marcus Williams and senior safety Brandon McGowan were named for the second straight season while junior center Ben Lazarski and senior punter Mike Mellow were first-time selections.
The 32-player squad includes standouts from three conferences (Atlantic-10, Ivy League and Patriot League) and 10 individual schools.
