The First Universalist Church says Mark Glovin will serve as a consulting minister, preaching one Sunday a month. Glovin has spent the past four years in Berkeley, Calif., attending the Starr King School for the Ministry. Originally from Norwood, Mass., Glovin graduated from Clark University in Worcester, Mass., with a degree in philosophy. He has traveled extensively in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. The church says Glover worked for five years for Lifeworks Inc., a nonprofit social service agency that runs group homes and day programs for adults. He is scheduled to preach at the church, 11 Church St., at 10 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 28.
