BANGOR – The Rotary Club of Bangor will present area businesses, schools, nonprofit groups and religious organizations as part of the annual Festival of Lights Parade at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4.

The parade will start at the corner of Railroad and Main streets, proceed down Main Street through downtown Bangor, cross Hammond and State onto Central Street, turn right onto Harlow Street and end at the corner of Exchange and Hancock streets.

The theme is “Sharing Our Gifts.” The parade will feature a dazzling display of floats, bands and performing units that will showcase the diverse celebrations that take place throughout the season in Maine and the world.

From Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Frosty the Snowman to more traditional scenes celebrating Christmas, Hanukkah, Ramadan and Kwanzaa, the event will showcase traditions of the season.
