A small park in South Brewer has lost a great spot to watch eagles.
A tree in the Penobscot River fell due to the bad weather last week. Many times I have watched eagles there, as I am sure many people have, but no more.
Maybe the city of Brewer can come up with a way to renew a place for the eagles to land there and hunt for fish. I’m sure many people feel the way I do and were heartsick when I saw that the tree had finally met its demise.
I hope the city feels this loss also and that in the time of renewing the waterfront they find it in the budget to make a new home for the eagles.
