For many, this will be another busy weekend. Gifts to buy and plans to make for the coming holidays. As you make your to-do list, consider including a gift to the Santa’s Helper Fund. Your contribution will mean so much to many needy families in our area who will receive help from The Salvation Army at Christmas.

Today, we received donations from the following individuals and organizations:

Anonymous, Stockton Springs, in memory of Diane Spencer, $15; Anne, Sandi and Ray, Bucksport, in memory of Charles and Ella, $60; Gail and Richard Keene, Trenton, $30; Bonnie Jardin, Cherryfield, in memory of “my mother, Anita F. Blanchard; my brother, Timothy M. Blanchard; and my sister, Helen Hope Blanchard,” $100; and Wanita Paradis, Patten, in memory of her husband, Reginald Paradis, $25.

Gifts also came from Lillian Letourneau, Ashland, in memory of the deceased relatives of Mr. and Mrs. Milford Letourneau of Ashland, $125; Joyce Bowman and family, St. Albans, in memory of Errol Bowman, $25; Sylvia and Robert Walcott, Lee, in memory of our dad, Sterling Thompson, and our little angel, Nicholas Ronald Smith, $25; Paul and Jessie Leonard, Newport, $25; and Carmel Senior Citizens Club, Carmel, $25.

Donations also came from Dorothy Baron, Bangor, $100; Martha and Phillip Limeburner, Ellsworth, in loving memory of grandson Ben Jewell, $50; Rex and Leona, Auburn, $25; Mr. and Mrs. Ken King, Corinna, in memory of Steve and Cindy, $30; and Volunteer Circle King’s Daughters, Brewer, $50.

Today’s gifts bring our total raised to date to $17,208.

Donations may be sent to Santa’s Helper Fund, P.O. Box 1329, Bangor, ME 04402-1329. Donors’ names and dollar amounts will be published in the Santa’s Helper column daily. Donors who prefer to remain anonymous will be listed as such, followed by donation amounts. Thank you in advance for your generosity.
